IBAMA assembly task-force for Pre-salt

The Brazilian Institute of Environment and Natural Resources (IBAMA) will assemble a task force to deal with the challenge of environmental permits that will be imposed by the pre-salt. The concern of the municipality is to be prepared for a work that, despite being technically new, involves a huge volume of studies and monitoring. Thus, IBAMA waiting off the taint of being an obstacle to the exploitation of oil, has the stigma that accompanies the areas of energy and transportation.

The new president of IBAMA, the lawyer Mr. Curt Trennepohl, says he will start assembling a team of environmental analysts with a specific mission to serve the pre-salt.
